Focusing on certain specialties gives us the focus and depth that is required to help us understand our clients better and in turn deliver outstanding results. The focus has helped us build a unique expertise in those specialties.

For example, when a gastroenterologist performs a percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, our staff is clinically knowledgeable about the procedure. They can therefore bill it correctly and if the claim is denied they can negotiate more knowledgeably with insurance companies.

It also helps us make meaningful suggestions to physicians regarding their coding styles. Furthermore, our analytics team can compare performance of specific procedures across various specialties that we serve and constantly update our clients with useful information.

We choose specialties that have the following criteria:

1. Complexity: A specialty needs to have sufficient amount of complexity that would benefit from exclusive focus.
2. Sub-specialty: A specialty might be associated with a major specialty benefiting from economies of scale. For example, pathology might be closely associated with dermatology.
3. Breadth: Areas that allow exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases. Focusing on specialty such as internal medicine allows us to get good grounding in various diseases that patients begin to see physicians for.
